Overview
The Manufacturing & Quality Engineer is responsible for ensuring SnapNrack products are designed for manufacturability, meet quality expectations and continuously improve throughout their lifecycle. The role serves as the bridge between Product Development and Operations, owning Product Quality, manufacturing readiness and continuous improvement initiatives.
Primary Responsibilities
Lead Product Quality investigations, root cause analysis and corrective actions for customer, field and manufacturing issues.
Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) reviews throughout product development to improve manufacturability, assembly efficiency and product robustness.
Partner with Operations and Supply Chain to improve manufacturing processes, supplier quality and production readiness.
Develop quality plans, inspection criteria, validation requirements and engineering documentation supporting production releases.
Analyze warranty data, customer feedback and field performance to identify trends and prioritize product improvements.
Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), drawings, manufacturing documentation and release management.
Coordinate cross-functional quality reviews while tracking corrective actions to closure.
Assist in the launch of new products, including first article inspections, and the design or refinement of packaging solutions.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering.
5+ years in Product Quality, Manufacturing Engineering or related discipline.
Experience with CAPA, DFMEA/PFMEA, root cause analysis and product validation.
Strong analytical, communication and cross-functional leadership skills.
Success Measures
Reduced warranty claims and field failures.
Improved DFM and manufacturing readiness.
Timely ECO implementation.
Improved product quality KPIs.
Effective cross-functional quality ownership.
