Position: Housekeeping Supervisor / Receptionist
Requirements
• Previous experience in a hotel, lodge, guesthouse or B&B.
• Experience in housekeeping supervision and reception is essential.
• Hospitality qualification will be an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
• Computer literate; experience with a hotel PMS is an advantage.
• Good customer-service skills.
• Ability to supervise, motivate and work with a team.
• Honest, reliable, well presented and professional.
• Ability to work shifts, weekends and public holidays.
• Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure.
Responsibilities
Housekeeping
• Supervise and allocate daily duties to housekeeping staff.
• Inspect guest rooms, bathrooms and public areas.
• Ensure rooms are cleaned and presented to the required standard.
• Monitor linen, toiletries, cleaning materials and amenities.
• Coordinate room status with Reception.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Monitor housekeeping standards, hygiene and presentation.
• Assist with housekeeping duties when required.
Reception & Guest Services
• Welcome guests and provide professional check-in and check-out services.
• Manage reservations, cancellations and guest enquiries.
• Answer telephone calls and respond to guest requests.
• Maintain accurate guest records.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and efficiently.
• Coordinate guest requirements with housekeeping and other departments.
• Maintain guest confidentiality and security.
• Handle payments and reception administration as required.
• Assist in the restaurant where necessary.
