As the appointed Caterpillar dealer in the region, Barloworld Equipment supplies equipment, parts and service to customers in the mining, construction, handling, agricultural and energy industries.HEAVY EQUIPMENT TECHNICIANS / DIESEL MECHANIC SPECIALISTSJob PurposeKey Outputs (include but are not limited to)Minimum Required Qualifications
• Full Grade 12 certificate with not less than 5 credits.
• An Advanced Technician Certificate /Diploma – Heavy Equipment Repair, Auto Electrician, or Diesel Mechanic.
• Not less than 5 years of relevant work experience in mining, construction, or energy industries.
• CAT machines exposure & A Millwright/ Dual qualification will be an added advantage.
• Registered member of Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license.
Skills
• Sound interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Machine-specific technical knowledge and skills.
• Good Technical report writing.
• Basic business and financial understanding.
• Computer Literacy (SIS, STW & ET) knowledge. Applicable product knowledge.
• Hands on with minimum supervision.
