Job Description
Shalom Elite School is seeking a dedicated and professional Temporary French Teacher to cover a maternity leave, effective immediately. The successful candidate will lead high school instruction, ensuring educational continuity and supporting students’ academic progress during this interim period. We are looking for an educator committed to maintaining our high standards of linguistic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach French to high school students in strict accordance with the approved curriculum (O and A Level).
• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that accommodate diverse learning styles.
• Design and develop creative and effective teaching and learning materials suitable for secondary school learners.
• Regularly assess, record, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
• Prepare students thoroughly for internal assessments and examinations.
• Maintain high standards of classroom discipline and foster a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Provide academic guidance and individualized support to ensure no learner is left behind.
• Work closely with the Languages Department and school administration to ensure seamless curriculum continuity.
• Actively participate in staff meetings, school activities, and professional development programmes.
• Ensure a comprehensive and well-organised handover of records, grades, and schemes of work at the conclusion of the maternity cover period.
Requirements
• A Degree or Diploma in Education (majoring in French) or a relevant Linguistic degree with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education.
-Proven experience teaching French at the High School level.
-In-depth knowledge of the current syllabus and examination requirements.
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English.
-Ability to start immediately.
