Job Description

Applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced candidates to fill the
following positions on a fixed term basis. Prospective female candidates are encouraged
to submit their applications.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Principal Systems Engineer, the successful candidate will be required to;
• Develop and maintain the strategic roadmap for the entire Microsoft enterprise stack.
• Design and architect scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions using
Microsoft and related technologies.
• Evaluate new Microsoft technologies and services, providing recommendations for
adoption based on business needs.
• Lead the implementation, migration, and configuration of complex Microsoft
workloads (Exchange, Share. Point, Teams, Active Directory, etc.).
• Serve as the primary authority on Microsoft security and compliance tools
• Develop and enforce data governance, data loss prevention (DLP), and information
protection policies.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits of the Microsoft environment and
lead remediation efforts.
• Monitor system health, performance, and usage, proactively addressing potential
issues.
• Collaborate with other IT teams, business analysts, and stakeholders to understand
requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and
operational procedures.
• Plan and oversee software and operating system upgrades and track Microsoft and
end point security system licensing.
• Attend to queries logged on the helpdesk via the telephone, email, web portal as well
as walk in internal and external customers.
• Ensure that disaster recovery and application recovery procedures are available for
Microsoft applications
• Ensure that regular backups are carried out and that the backup media are safely
stored.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
• Degree in Computer Science/Higher National Diploma in Computer Science or
equivalent
• Membership of a recognized professional institution
• Two years’ experience with Microsoft software
• Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) – covering Windows 10, Windows
Server 2016, and System Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM) or Current
Microsoft role-based certifications equivalent to MCSE, such as:
✓ Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate
✓ Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate
✓ Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
✓ Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
Special Attributes/Skills
• Knowledge of design, configuration, security, implementation and management of
computer solutions
• Ability to plan deploy, and support Microsoft software
• Good working knowledge of Firewall, Proxy, Microsoft Exchange Email and Antivirus.
• Good coordination, administration, communication and interpersonal skills
