STORES OFFICER – CIMAS MEDLABS HARARE
JOB SUMMARYCimas Health Group, driven by its purpose to inspire healthier communities, seeks a highly motivated Stores Officer to ensure efficient and accurate management of all Medical Laboratory inventory, including chemicals, reagents, consumables and maintaining optimal stock levels in line with Cimas Standard Operating Procedures.

The successful candidate must demonstrate problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, enabling them to investigate stock discrepancies, resolve operational issues and implement corrective actions where necessary. A high level of integrity, accountability and customer service orientation is required to maintain effective control of company inventory and support business operations.
Requirements
• Degree in Supply Chain Management.
• Degree in Medical Laboratory Sciences is an added advantage.
• At least two years of practical experience in a Laboratory stores environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Receiving, inspecting, verifying and recording all incoming laboratory supplies against purchase orders.
• Determining the re-order points, safety stock levels and economic order quantities for all Laboratory supplies, with a focus on time-sensitive reagents and blood collection materials.
• Overseeing the entire inventory lifecycle using the Inventory Management System.
• Storing hazardous material safely in compliance with regulations and laboratory safety protocols.
• Maintaining and monitoring proper storage conditions e.g. refrigerated, frozen, desiccated, ambient) as required.
• Monitoring stock levels proactively to prevent shortages and minimizing overstocking.
• Initiating purchase requisitions for routine consumables based on pre-defined minimum levels.
• Ensuring management of expired stock as per Standard Operating Procedures.
