Job Description
The above-mentioned position has arisen within the TIMB, and applications are invited from suitably qualified and experienced persons to fill the position on a 12-month fixed term contract. The successful candidate will be based at the Head Office.
REPORTS TO: MARKET INFORMATION OFFICER
Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Assit the ICT department by reviewing data structures as required.
• Helps with validation of reports generated from the system.
• Participates in collection of data from monitoring reports based on some industry performance indicators to provide a coherent picture of industry operation.
• Helps to develop survey protocols and sampling procedures.
• Helps in conducting descriptive, predictive and prescriptive analytics to aid in decision making.
• Assist in timely compilation of daily sales figures, domestics crop reports, annual statistical reports, imports and exports.
• Helps to provide accurate data to other staff members upon request.
• Assisting in departmental events involving data analytics and research
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• BSC Hons Degree in Statistics.
• 2 years' relevant experience in the tobacco industry
