Job Description

The Primary School Head will be responsible for providing effective academic and administrative leadership, overseeing curriculum implementation, managing staff, and driving continuous improvement in learner performance within a private school environment

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide overall academic and administrative leadership of the primary school.
• Oversee effective implementation of the primary school curriculum.
• Supervise, mentor, and appraise teaching and non-teaching staff.
• Drive continuous improvement in teaching, learning, and learner performance.
• Ensure compliance with education regulations, school policies, and procedures.
• Manage school discipline, staff conduct, and learner welfare.
• Foster positive relationships with parents, guardians, and key stakeholders.
• Oversee school planning, reporting, and general administration.
• Promote a safe, supportive, and productive learning environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Education (B. E. D) from a recognised institution.
• Diploma in Education (Primary)
• A minimum of 5–6 years’ relevant teaching and leadership experience in a primary school setting.
• Proven experience serving as a Deputy Head or Head will be a strong advantage.
• Experience working in a private school environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the Primary School Curriculum and curriculum implementation.
• Strong background in school administration and staff supervision.
