Job Description
Mutare-based leading company in automotive industry seeks a qualified and experienced Panel Beater to join its Vehicle Workshops team.
Job Purpose
To carry out panel beating, body repairs, and restoration work on company vehicles to maintain roadworthiness, safety standards, and fleet presentation.
Key Responsibilities:
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Workshop Foreman, incumbent will be responsible for;
Repairing and straightening damaged vehicle panels and body components.
Removing dents, replacing damaged panels, and preparing surfaces for painting.
Assessing accident damage and recommending appropriate repair methods.
Using hand tools, power tools, and panel beating equipment safely and correctly.
Maintaining accurate records of repairs and materials used.
Assisting with breakdown and accident damage repairs as required.
Ensuring compliance with SHEQ standards and workshop safety procedures.
Keeping the workshop and work area clean, organised, and serviceable.
Performing any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
At least 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics and English.
Certificate in Panel Beating, Motor Body Repair or related trade.
Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Panel Beater, preferably in a transport or FMCG environment.
Detail-oriented, safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work under minimum supervisor.
