Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/ Full Professor: Plant Breeder

The University seeks to engage a Lecturer in the Faculty of Natural Resources Management and Agriculture, Department of Horticulture and Crop Production.

• Five (5) Ordinary Level Passes including English Language
• A Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Crop Science or related fields
• Applicants must be holders of at least a Master of Science Degree in Plant Breeding from a recognised University
• A Ph. D in Plant Breeding is an added advantage
• At least one peer reviewed publication
• At least one year teaching experience at tertiary level

As a Lecturer/Senior Lecturer/Associate Professor/ Full Professor: Plant Breeder, you will be
• Participate in University income-generating projects
• Participate in the invigilation of examinations
• Supervise post-graduate and undergraduate student research projects
• Participate in outreach activities in the crop production sector
• Attract and manage research grants
• Participate in University services
• Innovate and facilitate service delivery
• The incumbent must be able to: teach Genetics, Plant Breeding, Plant Biotechnology, Plant Biology, Plant Physiology, Statistical Methods and Experimental Design and any other modules which may be assigned by the Department
