Internal Auditor

An exciting opportunity for the position of Internal Auditor has arisen for a suitably qualified and experienced person at Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd. Allied Timbers Zimbabwe (Pvt) Ltd is an extensive, local and international provider of high quality and durable timber-based solutions for both industrial, domestic and end user markets. The successful incumbent will report to the Senior Internal Auditor and shall be based in Mutare.

Key Responsibilities:
a. Perform risk assessments and internal control evaluations.
b. Plans and executes risk-based audits
c. Prepares audit reports.
d. Conducts fraud investigations and audits as required.
e. Conduct ad hoc reviews based on emerging risks or management requests
f. Prepare timely audit reports and provides recommendations.
g. Coordinates audit observations meetings and corrective actions plans.
h. Provide advisory support on new products, system changes and business expansions.
i. Conducts fraud investigations or other irregularities, as assigned.
j. Sources for the latest industry regulations and best practices in internal auditing.

Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree with a major or emphasis in Accounting, Finance and Internal Auditing.
CIA or part, CISA, CFE, CIS, CA or ACCA.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in internal audit, risk management, or external audit.
