Financial Controller

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to oversee all financial operations at Everyday Vacancies. This is a senior leadership role responsible for maintaining the financial health of the organization and providing strategic financial guidance to the executive team.

As Financial Controller, you will manage accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. You will play a critical role in scaling our financial operations as we grow and expand our impact in the Zimbabwean job market.

The ideal candidate combines strong technical accounting expertise with strategic business acumen. You should be comfortable operating in a dynamic startup environment while maintaining rigorous financial controls and compliance standards.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master's/MBA preferred)
• Professional accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, CIMA, or CPA)
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience
• At least 3 years in a financial management or controller role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local accounting standards
• Experience with financial planning and analysis (FP&A)
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or SAP)
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modeling
• Knowledge of Zimbabwean tax regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience with audit processes and external auditor relationships
• Strong leadership and team management capabilities
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Oversee all accounting operations including accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
• Develop and manage annual budgets and financial forecasts
• Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial procedures
• Manage cash flow, treasury operations, and banking relationships
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and timely filing of returns
• Coordinate annual audits and maintain relationships with external auditors
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making
• Develop financial KPIs and dashboards for leadership reporting
• Lead and mentor the finance team
• Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes
• Support fundraising activities with financial due diligence and reporting
