ENTRY-LEVEL CLASS 4 FEMALE MECHANIC (FLEET & WORKSHOP SUPPORT)
LOCATION: Driveit Car Rental
About The Role
This position supports both the workshop and fleet operations. The successful candidate will handle the receiving and dispatching of vehicles to clients, carry out routine servicing, and ensure every vehicle handed out or returned is properly assessed and documented. The role requires discipline, accuracy, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:

• Receive vehicles into the yard/workshop and complete vehicle intake inspections.
• Dispatch vehicles to Driveit clients, ensuring all paperwork, accessories, tools, and fuel levels are verified and signed off.
• Conduct pre-dispatch fitness checks (lights, brakes, tyres, fluids, battery, general safety).
• Receive vehicles back from clients, perform detailed post-use assessments, and document any damages, faults, or missing items.
• Maintain accurate vehicle checklists, service records, and client dispatch/return
• Perform routine service tasks (oil, filters, wheels, brakes, fluids) under supervision.
• Assist senior mechanics with diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
• Report defects immediately and escalate issues appropriately.
• Keep the workshop, tools, and yard organized, safe, and compliant with company standards.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
• Class 4 Vocational Training Certification (recognized institution).
• Valid Class 4 Driver's Licence.
• Five (5) O-Level passes including Mathematics and English.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and willingness to work under supervision.
• High integrity, attention to detail, and respect for procedures.
