Requirements
The Ideal Candidate Should HaveAt least a Bachelor’s Degree in English from a reputable institution.
• A Diploma in Education or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Demonstrated competence in the Cambridge syllabus up to Advanced Level.
• A minimum of three (3) years’ teaching experience in English Language and English Literature.
• Proof of completion of Cambridge Professional Development programmes in the subject.
• Willingness to work within the Catholic traditions and ethos of St Ignatius College.
• Proven ability in coaching and/or facilitating at least two co-curricular activities.
• At least intermediate-level ICT literacy and proficiency with e-learning platforms.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• High levels of integrity, professional conduct, and a genuine passion for teaching as a vocation.
• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours when required.Additional Requirements
The successful candidate must be prepared to commute to and from the College on working days, with assistance provided by the College.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to:
• Implement and deliver a broad, balanced, relevant, and differentiated curriculum to learners in line with curriculum requirements.
• Assess, evaluate, monitor, and support learners’ academic progress and total development.
• Participate in and support co-curricular activities as required.
• Carry out appropriate administrative duties.
• Uphold and promote the College’s Vision, Mission, Values, and policies in line with Catholic and Jesuit ethos.
