VACANCY – DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR
ROLE PROFILE
AFC Commercial Bank, a subsidiary of AFC Holdings, is on the hunt for a solid candidate to take up the role of Database Administrator. Reporting to the Manager – ICT Operations, the Database Administrator will be responsible for managing, monitoring, and maintaining the organisation’s databases to ensure iron
• clad security, integrity, and stability.

• Strong working knowledge of database administration methods or techniques.
• Oracle 19c certification or later versions.
• Ability to adapt to change and meet demanding deadlines.Requirements and Experience
• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Studies, Information Systems, or an equivalent field.
• Experience in Oracle RAC, ASM, RMAN, and Data Guard Technologies is required.
• Knowledge of SQL, Linux, and Postgre. SQL.
• Microsoft SQL Server or My. SQL Experience is a prerequisite.
• At least 3 years’ relevant Experience in a banking ICT environment.
• A clean Class 4 Driver’s Licence is a must.
Responsibilities
• Installing and configuring databases.
• Conducting database performance tuning and administration.
• Controlling and managing user access to databases.
• Diagnosing and resolving database issues.
• Ensuring database systems availability.
• Implementing strong database security controls.
• Performing database backups and recovery.
• Ensuring database integrity.
• Executing system and database capacity planning.
