1x Tyre Fitter

Mutare-based leading company in automotive industry seeks an experienced Tyre Fitter to join its Vehicle Workshops team.
Job Purpose
To carry out tyre fitting, repairs, and routine inspections on company vehicles and equipment to ensure roadworthiness, safety, and optimal fleet performance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Tyre Controller, the successful candidate will, among other duties, be responsible for:
 Fitting, removing, repairing, and replacing tyres on trucks, light vehicles, and equipment.
 Inspecting tyres for wear, damage, and pressure compliance.
 Conducting wheel balancing and alignment where applicable.
 Maintaining accurate tyre usage and maintenance records.
 Assisting with breakdown response and roadside tyre repairs.
 Ensuring adherence to SHEQ standards and workshop safety procedures.
 Keeping the tyre bay clean, organised, and serviceable.

Qualifications, Experience and Personal Attributes
 At least 5 O’ Levels including Mathematics and English.
 Certificate in Tyre Fitting, Motor Mechanics or related trade.
 Minimum 2 years’ experience in tyre fitting or vehicle maintenance, preferably in FMCG or transport environment.
 Physically fit, safety-conscious, reliable, and able to work under pressure.
