Finance Coordinator

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:
Level 3: the post holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work country programs; or are visiting country programs; or because they are responsible for implementing the police checking/vetting process staff.

Requirements

Financial Planning and Analysis (60%)
• Develop annual CAP budget for the country office and ensure that the budgeted activities match with narrative plans, appropriately structured to the CAP Requirements.
• Works with the other departmental managers, highlights variances, provides analyses and recommends solutions.
• Ensures that the country
• operating budget is regularly updated and it is available for use as a management tool during the development of new proposal budgets and during times of rapid expansion and/or program reduction.
• Develop the country office cost structure for proposal development purposes and master budgeting.
• Develop and review proposals budget to ensure the eligibility and all relevant costs have been allocated properly to each award.
• Working with Proposal Development and Awards team to develop So. P for budgeting process including budget development and coordination process and with relevant departments.
• Support CO finance team in updating CAM calculator and provide necessary guidance.
• Conduct budget and CAM calculator trainings for finance staff.
• Acts as Zimbabwe country focal point for new proposals budget preparations.
• Preform analysis for CAM charges, identify potential implications on the existing awards, working with award team to develop cost recovery plans i.e. budget re
• alignment where possible.
• Manages the Country Office financial systems and provide to SMT and all budget holders with a monthly update on the budget variance analysis.
• Work with the Senior Finance Officer to provide adequate support to Zimbabwe budget holders.
Sub
• Award Management and Partnerships: (10%)
• Works with Awards/ Partnerships team to provide financial guidance for sub
• award management as per SCI policy and donor Requirements.
• Reviews Sub
• awards tools and ensure proper financial verification and financial reports reviewed on timely manner.
• Builds the capacity of finance team in Sub
• awards Management.
• Assists in the review of new sub
• award budgets and agreements as required.
• Works closely with the Awards and Partnerships team and others departments to ensure capacity strengthening in systems and policies of partners
