• At least three (3) years of leadership experience with a minimum of two (two) years in a management role.
• Have at least three (3) years experience in teaching Media/Journalism/Broadcast or related field at tertiary level.
• Proven track record of success in managing people and projects.

Requirements

Required
• Masters in Media/Journalism/Broadcasting with a Merit or better.
• Plus three (3) years post-graduate experience.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in media academia, policy engagement, or broadcast leadershipSkills & Competencies
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities.
• Experience in the broadcasting industry.
• Familiarity with Broadcasting Authority of Zimbabwe (BAZ) and Transmedia regulations.
• Basic knowledge of broadcasting equipment and respective software.
• Demonstrate knowledge on implementation of Heritage-based Education 5.0 through Campus Radio.

Responsibilities

• Manage radio station operations, including programming, technical systems, staffing, and scheduling.
• Recruit, train, and supervise student volunteers, interns, and technical staff.
• Facilitate ongoing capacity-building workshops on radio production, journalism, and ethics.
• Promote leadership and skill development among student broadcasters.
• Lead branding and marketing initiatives to grow station visibility and revenue base.
• Oversee social media, podcasting, and other digital platforms.
• Promote listenership and engagement across campus and beyond.
• Develop strategies for content monetization (e.g., sponsored content, advertising partnerships).
• Develop audience research initiatives to guide programming decisions.
• Adjust programming based on data-driven insights to improve audience satisfaction.
• Foster partnerships with academic departments, student organizations, and the local community.
• Create inclusive programming that reflects the diversity and interests of the university community.
• Develop and implement a risk management framework for technical, legal, and content-related threats.
• Establish SOPs for responding to on-air disruptions, violations, or complaints.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and update contingency plans accordingly.
• Manage station budget, procurement, and resource allocation efficiently.
• Identify and pursue revenue-generating opportunities (e.g., sponsorships, partnerships).
