Ce. SHHAR Zimbabwe is an organisation that specialises in population health research and programming, including on sexual and reproductive health and HIV/AIDS. Ce. SHHAR has an extensive national, regional, and international academic and community partnership network. Ce. SHHAR has a diverse range of funders which include the Wellcome Trust, the Gates Foundation, UK Medical Research Council, Templeton World Charity Foundation, Global Fund for AIDS TB and Malaria, UNICEF and UNFPA. We partner very closely with the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine (UK). Ce. SHHAR is implementing a National Key Population programme on behalf of National AIDS Council and Ministry of Health and Child Care in all 10 provinces in Zimbabwe. The Social Scientist will contribute actively to the execution of the ethnographic research activities. The incumbent will also play an active role in the facilitation of workshops and process evaluation of PACE interventions including engagement in participatory Rapid Assessment Response (RAR).

Key Responsibilities:
• Provide ongoing supervision, mentorship, and support to a team of community ethnographers, ensuring adherence to rigorous ethical standards and high
• quality data collection.
• Oversee the logistical aspects of ethnographic fieldwork, including scheduling regular feedback meetings with community ethnographers, timely collection of field diaries, and ensuring the secure distribution of diaries and other relevant materials.
• Secure storage, organization, transcription, and translation of ethnographic field diaries, adhering to strict data protection protocols.
• Contribute to the analysis of qualitative data from field diaries, workshop reports, and process evaluation activities, using appropriate qualitative data analysis methods (e.g., thematic analysis, NVivo software).
• Actively participate in the process evaluation of PACE interventions.
• Contribute to the facilitation of workshops and training sessions for PACE participants, including community ethnographers and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to the preparation of project reports, presentations, and peer
• reviewed publications based on research findings.

A Social Science degree or related field
• A Masters degree is an added advantage
• GCP Certificate
• At least 1 year post
• graduate relevant working Experience.
• Experience in the NGO sector will be an added advantage.
• Experience in qualitative data collection and analysis.
• Ability to speak, read, and write English, Shona/ Ndebele
• Proficient in computer Skills such as Microsoft Excel and possession of good interpersonal communication Skills and must have good planning and problem
• solving Skills.
