• operation with local partner organizations, its task is to contribute to improved income and nutrition for the poorest rural populations in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Welthungerhilfe has been implementing projects in Zimbabwe almost continuously since 1980. Currently, the organization together with its partners has projects in 5 Provinces. Sector focus is on Food and Nutrition security including WASH, and when necessary, Emergency response.
Key Responsibilities:
The MEAL Officer will support outcome and impact monitoring, accountability to farmers and partners, and evidence
• based reporting to project management, investors, and donors. The role requires close collaboration with consortium partners, including NGOs, research
institutions, and private sector actors, to ensure harmonised monitoring approaches, high data quality, effective accountability mechanisms, and learning for adaptive management
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, Economics, Monitoring & Evaluation, Development Economics, Statistics, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a strong advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant Experience in MEAL, preferably within agriculture, agribusiness, value chain development, or private
• sector–linked development programmes.
• Demonstrated Experience in measuring farmer incomes, enterprise profitability, cost of production, and gross margins.
• Practical understanding of smallholder farming systems, agribusiness operations, and value chain economics.
• Experience working with multi
• partner consortia, including private sector and research institutions.
• Strong quantitative and qualitative data analysis Skills and proficiency in Comm. Care software is an added advantage.
• Experience with participatory MEAL approaches and digital data collection systems.
