Job Description

The Metallurgist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing metallurgical processes to ensure efficient extraction, recovery, and quality of chrome and gold products. The role supports daily plant operations, metallurgical test work, and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize plant performance and maintain compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Conduct test work on ore samples to determine optimal processing parameters.
Oversee plant performance, including flotation, gravity separation, milling, and leaching circuits.
Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly metallurgical data and prepare performance reports.
Identify process bottlenecks and recommend technical improvements.
Ensure sampling accuracy and maintain metallurgical balances.
Collaborate with geologists and mining teams to manage ore variations and feed quality.
Support safety, environmental compliance, and plant operational standards.
Train and guide plant operators and metallurgical technicians as needed.

Requirements

Requirements & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Mineral Processing, or related field.
