Job Description

Reports to: Operations Director

Key Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
• Provide technical support to farmers including field selection, tillage practices, crop establishment, spraying, harvesting, and post
• harvest handling.
• Develop and implement soil and field conservation programs to protect natural resources, including dams and rivers.
• Conduct soil sampling, coordinate laboratory analysis, and interpret results for optimal crop performance.
• Calibrate and maintain agricultural machinery and equipment to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Coordinate on
• farm repairs, servicing schedules, and tracking of all machinery and equipment.
• Maintain databases for Irrigation Schemes and Out
• grower farms’ technical support Requirements.
• Monitor and evaluate support to contracted out
• growers through regular reporting.
• Supervise commercial production operations across crops, livestock, fisheries, and wildlife.
• Oversee Project and Farm Managers to ensure achievement of production targets.
• Coordinate resources for farms and value addition projects to enhance productivity.
• Prepare revenue budgets and monitor financial performance of agricultural operations.
• Implement sustainable growth initiatives to achieve year
• on
• year turnover and profitability.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and industry standards.

Requirements

Requirements & Experience
• A relevant degree/ Diploma in Agriculture, Agronomy, Crop Science or related field.
• At least 4
• 6 years’ Experience in agricultural field management, including supervisory Responsibilities.
• Proven Experience in crop production, irrigation schemes, and farmer training programs.
• Strong technical knowledge of agricultural machinery, crop establishment, protection, and harvesting.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and report
• writing Skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work with government, development agencies, and other stakeholders.
• Commitment to sustainability, environmental stewardship, and farmer development.
