POST 2: TECHNICIAN (2 POSTS)

B
• Tech / BSc Honours Degree in Computer Science/ Computer Systems Engineering or an equivalent in the relevant field OR a National Diploma in Computer Studies or an equivalent in the related field.
Three (3) years of laboratory Experience in a tertiary institution, research institute or relevant industry.
Relevant Professional Certifications are an added advantage

The successful candidates would be required, among other Responsibilities, to:
• Ensure that all computer systems, hardware, and software in the laboratory are properly maintained, updated, and in working condition.
• Set up and configure computer systems and network infrastructure in the laboratory.
• Provide technical assistance and support to students, faculty, and staff who use the computer science laboratory.
• Ensure the security and integrity of the laboratory’s computer systems and data.
• Collaborate with faculty members, researchers, and students to facilitate laboratory activities, experiments, and projects.
• Assist students and users with laboratory procedures, software applications, and programming languages commonly used in computer science.
• Ensuring that the laboratory adheres to safety regulations and guidelines.
