Person Specification
The ideal candidate must possess a Master of Science Degree in Library and Information Science or equivalent. The candidate should have at least three (3) years post
• Requirements Experience in a University Library at Assistant/ Senior Assistant Librarian level. The ideal candidate must be mature, have a good working history, excellent leadership qualities, good organizational and public relations Skills and have intense knowledge of office procedures.

• Oversee the delivery of high
• quality front
• line library services, ensuring accessibility, responsiveness, and inclusivity in patron interactions across physical and digital platforms.
• Develop policies, guides, tutorials, and standard operating procedures to enhance the provision and operational efficiency of public services in the library.
• Develop and deliver innovative instructional programs and workshops, both in
• person and online, that foster critical information and digital literacy Skills.
• Lead initiatives to increase student, faculty, and community engagement with the library through targeted outreach, events, and partnerships.
• Use data and user feedback to evaluate service effectiveness and inform continuous improvement.
• Supervise and mentor a team of library staff in client services and foster a collaborative, supportive work environment.
• Coordinate academic liaison programme, ensuring effective communication and collaboration with academic departments
• Work closely with faculty, academic departments, and campus partners to integrate library resources into curricula and campus life.
